About us
Dune Innovation is a design agency based at Erasmus MC in Rotterdam. We work at the cutting edge of MedTech innovation, collaborating with start-ups, SMEs and multinational corporations to bring groundbreaking medical devices to market. In some cases, we even establish new ventures around these products to ensure their successful commercialization.
Our mission is to focus on the design, development, and delivery of medical innovations that enhance health and care and improve people’s lives. To anticipate growing customer demand, we are seeking talent to expand our multi-disciplinary team. The Dune team brings together expertise from Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Clinical Practice, and Project Management.
To further our goals, Dune Innovation will merge with Panton – designers for healthcare – before the end of this year. This integration will expand our team to 15 dedicated professionals, enabling us to accelerate the development of innovative MedTech solutions. With the merge, we have teams based in Deventer and Rotterdam.
What we are looking for
To expand our team, we are seeking an experienced mechanical design engineer with an entrepreneurial mindset and a proven track record in Medical Device development. You thrive on creating innovative products that enhance the quality of life and have a tangible global impact.
In short
• MSc. in Industrial Design Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 7- years of experience in Medical Device development.
• Experience working both at a design agency and directly on medical device development is preferred.
• Eager to find creative concepts for technical challenges and making sure solutions are feasible.
• Strong entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to transform innovative ideas into successful products and businesses.
• Excellent communication skills to cooperate effectively with clients, clinical experts, colleagues and other stakeholders.
• Experience with CAD modelling SolidWorks is a must, experience in Autodesk Inventor a plus.
